STMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd. is seeking to recruit an Automation Engineer within the Industrial Engineering Department to strengthen the deployment of the site's communication plans and initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Mechanical designs using Autodesk Inventor to design, simulate and render equipment modules, systems and structures required for production lines, layout simulation and 3D visibility.
• Liaise with suppliers to improve, adjust and modify any mechanical, electrical and/or software issues in order to have equipment which is efficient, safe, user-friendly and productive.
• Liaise with STM Engineering by working with both local and divisional engineering to improve equipment performance, product quality, reduce defects and costs.
• Install and test run production equipment.

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate shall:

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Excellent team spirit and strong time management skills.
• Positive attitude and proactive mind set towards challenging situation.
• Experience in CAD software like Autodesk Inventor
• Proficient in Microsoft Tools.
• Knowledge in software programming considered an asset
• Knowledge in electronics design considered an asset
• Have a project management experience
