STMicroelectronics (Malta)Ltd. is seeking to recruit an Equipment Maintenance Engineer.

 Duties & Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Ensuring Equipment is safe to operate.
• Monitoring Equipment performance on a daily basis.
• Ensuring correct & efficient technical interventions by the technical team.
• Managing the Technical team in terms of knowledge, performance, discipline & Quality.
• Dealing with identification and losses analysis.
• Improving the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Maintaining equipment, defining maintenance procedures and improving procedures to ensure best quality output.
• Ensuring overall equipment effectiveness and optimal equipment performance and safety features.
• Managing spare parts with respect to availability & Cost control.
• Applying DATA driven methodology to establish and consolidate Equipment monitoring parameters and other operational requirements for optimal equipment performance.
• Applying DATA driven methodology to monitor, identify & improve the technician workforce performance.
• Processing qualification of new Equipment.

Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate shall:

• Hold a Bachelors Degree or higher in an Engineering related subject.
• Have good knowledge of maintenance & manufacturing processes.
• Have a good understanding of Quality & Maintenance documentation.
• Have methodical & analytical approach FMEA, DMAIC, 8D, DOE.
• Have strong communication skills, both verbal & written, including technical report writing.
• Be disciplined.
• Have the ability of leading a technical team.

Working experience in the manufacturing industry would be considered an asset.
