STMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd. is seeking to recruit an Industrial Engineer within the Industrial Engineering Department. 

Duties and Responsibilities

The responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:

• Develop equipment layout for efficient and effective material, process, people and product flow
• Coordinate with project stakeholders for implementation of layout plan
• Assess plant capacity in terms of space and plans to organise equipment allocation per floor
• Design and implement cost effective and ergonomic work stations
• Propose, drive and monitor productivity improvement activities
• Ensure and comply to health and safety regulations in floor layout plans
• Ensure timely equipment movement to ensure volume production ramp, focus on enabling new product ramps
• Assess capacity impact based on equipment movement timeline and align with stakeholders
• Discuss with plant management and Central teams regarding plant layout strategies
• Incorporate automation concepts and to be key user of Anylogic simulation and to present proposals to plant management and stakeholders

Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall:

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree of education in Engineering, preferably Industrial Engineering.
• Very good knowledge in CAD drawing
• Demonstrate good planning and project management skills
• Proficiency of Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrate a methodical & analytical approach
• Capable of working on his/her own initiative
• Good communication skills
