A warehouse operator is responsible for handling of material, spares, equipment and chemical products.
The chosen candidate must be responsible for:
- managing the supply chain process,
- handling supplier requirements,
- internal queries and reservations,
- following safety/operations regulations, and checking all packages for quality assurance.
Individuals in this role should be extremely detail oriented and possess good level of English, Maths and computer skills.
It is also expected that warehouse operators have adequate physical strength to successfully un/load packages/shipments.
Ability to use forklift will be considered an asset.
Warehouse operators should have a passion for organization.
The ideal candidate works well with different personality types, has strong logistical skills, and has an eye for detail.
Preferably chosen warehouse operator should have:
Communication skills – warehouse operators interact with many people, such as courier, subcontractors, supervisors, and other employees. They must be strong communicators to keep operations running smoothly
Attention to detail – warehouse operators work in fast-paced environments, and they must remain composed and focused on a variety of shipments, records, invoices ,packaging details etc even when working under pressure
Team management – warehouse operators need to be ready to be trained and motivated to work in different areas , providing feedback and sharing tasks, all of which requires strong leadership and management. Ability to work well with multi-cultural employees
Problem-solving skills – warehouse operators are natural problem-solvers who are able to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively - self-managed
Education Background - Minimum Secondary level education with emphasis on
English, maths, computing
