Job description

Global Trade Compliance Organization ( GTCO)’s mission is to ensure  that ST trade activities, both for physical products and  intangibles items,  are compliant with applicable export controls and customs regulations.
To that end, GTCO is hiring a Trade Compliance data and classification  analyst  whose main objectives will be to strengthen our compliance processes and tools for the transfer of technology, in addition to enhancing our controls of ST trade compliance data attributes across the product life cycle for accuracy and completeness.

In this central function role, you will be responsible for :

Ensuring that all trade compliance data attributes -  for both  tangibles and intangibles - are timely uploaded or updated in our ERP tools;

Analyzing trade compliance data – specifically ECCN (Export Control Classification Numbers) and HS (Harmonized Schedule) codes – through periodic reports and spot checks for accuracy and consistency.

Supporting the next phases of development and deployment of ST Technology Control Plan (TCP) and coordinate requirement communication with DTIT (Digital Transformation & Information Technology) and other business stakeholders.

Developing standard operating procedures for TCP and executing compliance audits of technology and software transfers on main ST tools and systems.

Identifying any potential weaknesses in the systems and data flows and implementing corrective measures with business stakeholders.

Supporting GTCO Regional Trade Compliance managers (RTCMs) in GTCO periodic classification audits.

Managing GTCO request tracker tool  and ensuring requests are assigned to the appropriate RTCM.

Supporting GTCO ad hoc projects as needed.

Profile

Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.  Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive consensus. Ability to adapt and quickly respond to change.

Experience in Data Analytics, Trade Compliance, Information Technology or QMS (Quality Management System).  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access). Knowledge of database tools preferred. Knowledge of SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) is a plus.
