The General-Purpose Microcontroller business (GPM) is the largest division at ST Microelectronics and is the world leader in the microcontroller (MCU) market thanks to the widespread presence of our STM32 range.
As the world digitizes our offer is constantly growing to answer market needs from IoT connectivity, AI, security, graphics, motor control and microprocessors. Backed by our leading position in MCUs, we constantly invest in tomorrow’s embedded technology.
In the context of perimeter extension around ST 32bit microcontrollers, you will join the LPWAN IP Team in charge of providing next level of connectivity to 32bit microcontroller roadmap.
You will be part of the RF design team, in charge of developing RF and analog blocks of a sub-GHz radio IP from feasibility study to complete qualification, guaranteeing the specifications and providing in time innovative solutions to meet market needs.
The supervision of the layout implementation and the cooperation with the application/validation and test engineering teams are part of the job.

PROFILE REQUIRED:

•  MS degree with 10+ years of related work experience.
  Deep understanding of overall RF system and circuit level requirements. Direct tape-out experience with one or more of the following blocks: RF front-end circuits, PA, LNA, mixer, oscillator, PLL, LO, VGA, filter and/or other baseband analog blocks in deep sub-micron CMOS technology.
  Insights into various RF transceiver architectures and their trade-offs, as well as calibration methods
  Understanding of system specifications and capability to translate system requirement into circuit requirement at IC level.
  Strong knowledge of CMOS device physics
  Proficient with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre RF, Spectre AMS Designer, GoldenGate and ADS simulation tools.
  Experience with EM modeling and EM simulation tools such as Momentum, RFPro, HFSS and EMX
  Experience in behavior modeling using Matlab/Simulink or VerilogA for analog/RF systems or blocks.
  Previous exposure to chip bring-up, characterization and debug.
  Knowledge of LORA specifications a plus.
  Adaptability, Flexibility, Creativity/Innovation, good communication skills.
  Strong teamworking skills, fluent in spoken/written English
