STMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd. is seeking to recruit Manufacturing Shift Managers within the Assembly, Testing & Finishing Departments.

The job holder shall work on a 4 Shift pattern, consisting of Day (08:00-20:00), Night (20:00-08:00), Rest and Off, including weekends and Public Holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising and leading the shift team, including Operators, Technicians and Supervisors
• Integrating the Shop Floor Supervisor Teams covering various production areas.
• Maintaining strong communication with the Collaborative Control Room.
• Executing the daily/shift plan according to the delivery priorities from the Line Controller, while being responsible for the below:
  • H&S
  • Personnel (discipline, training and certification)
  • Quality
  • 5S
  • Gemba Walk
• Ensuring production targets are met, mainly on the bottleneck machines by collaborating with all teams (Maintenance, Process, Support Functions) and fulfilling the actions required in the least amount of time possible.
• Supporting production Management by being the main point reference during the given shift and taking the necessary decisions when required.
• Maintaining and improving the production efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate shall:

• Hold a degree in Management or Engineering.
• Be computer literate and possess good knowledge of production software, Equipment Monitoring and Control Systems (EMS) and O365 applications.
• Have proven ability of leadership skills and be disciplined.
• Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Be a good team player and flexible to adapt to different situations.
• Be able to take decisions following continuous inputs.
• Be mature, smart and goal oriented.

Experience in a similar position will be considered an asset.
