STMicroelectronics has a great opportunity for a Jr. Materials Engineer for our Freemont, CA office.  The Jr. Materials Engineer will contribute with the development of nanoparticle-based semiconductor material.

Key contributor in R&D effort to develop nanoparticle-based semiconductor materials
Work with team to optimize and scale-up nanoparticle production processes
Key contributor to nanoparticle quality control program
Owner of multiple critical nanoparticle production process and quality control steps
Support process data collection and analysis
Interface with device team to optimize nanoparticle properties (electrical, optical, film forming) for target applications
Report test plans and results to project team



  •  BS or MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science
    3+ years of chemical synthesis production technology and process development experience. Nanomaterial experience preferred.
    Some familiarity with process equipment and chemical analysis
    Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external suppliers
    Excel and MES process and data tracking familiarity
    International travel may be required

  •  2-5 years
