STMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd. is seeking to recruit Technicians within the Back End Manufacturing & Technology NPI (New Product Introduction) Department. 

The Job Holder will be part of a team working on a 4 Shift basis (Day/Night/Rest/Off) and shall be assigned to perform the duties required either at the front or back of the assembly line, performing similar duties but monitoring different processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting assembly process activities including assembly builds for process assessment, process qualification and customer samples.
• Ensuring that the Engineering Assembly builds conform with the Assembly Build Specifications and all other Quality requirements as needed.
• Monitoring Equipment Performance making sure the overall equipment efficiency is maintained.
• Disseminating, explaining, and complying with the rules and regulations on safety, health, environment, good housekeeping, and security to ensure that applicable rules and regulations are understood and implemented.

Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate shall:

• Possess an MQF Level 4 Qualification in a Technical/Engineering related subject or comparable certifications, or 5 years experience in a similar role.
• Be knowledgeable in Manufacturing Process Quality Controls, Assembly Process Specifications, and application of Out-of-Control Action Plans.
• Be able to interact with multiple disciplines in a 24/7 manufacturing facility.
• Be self-motivated, able to take initiative and have strong troubleshooting skills.
• Have aptitude and aspiration to learn new skills.

Hands on experience in Semiconductor Back End Manufacturing Assembly Process is considered an asset.
