ST is providing leading-edge automotive solutions for Electromobility towards a more energy-efficient world. ST offers the broad product and technology portfolio for Wide Band Gap (WBG) material with Silicon Carbide (SiC) and GaN devices, covering bare dies, discretes and modules belonging to the STPOWER family.

As an Application Engineer, you will be part of a growing team addressing the company’s strategy on Car Electrification.

Key roles

• Product and application analysis - analyze and benchmark our products in Automotive applications, following requirements of Automotive standards. This in the form of full solution (HW&SW) or in the form of simulation.
• Customer Support - provide application support for high power converters at Automotive customers across the Europe. It is expected to closely cooperate with the Marketing / Sales / System teams in providing technical expertise and preparing collaterals (application notes, reports, presentations, …).
• Product definition - contribute to the new product definition by doing analysis of customer solutions and feasibility studies on application requirements for the strong growing segment of Car electrification. This activity supports the Design-in activity of our increasing product portfolio for eMobility.
• Proof of Concept - contribute to the development of innovative application & system solutions together with worldwide application and system expert teams leveraging on ST IPs and automotive product portfolio.

Your responsibilities

• Technical development and automotive application design (HW and/or SW, Simulation)
• Design-in, promotion and technical support activities for customers
• Cooperation with marketing, interaction with internal and external customers & partners
• Dialog with technical experts for WBG and High-Power Devices & Modules in Automotive

Profile
This job requires a motivated candidate with good agility, engagement and the capability to work on new complex architectures in cooperation with different parties. You should have experience in Power electronics and a technical background in Digital electronics.
