Job description

STMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd. is seeking to recruit a Project Manager within its Plant Facilities Department. The Project Manager shall be responsible for managing multiple aspects of the planning, design, budget, and installation for the existing and future projects within STMicroelectronics Malta.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Driving projects execution according to schedule/cost baseline
  • Facilitating cross-functional project meetings to address critical issues and activate escalation path, upon need
  • Managing change requests and risk assessments (through FMEA methodology) with attention to costs and schedule
  • Assuring effective flow of information with key project stakeholders and report regular project status monitoring to Facilities Director
  • Supervising and managing Project Management staff including project engineers, technicians, external contractors
  • Ensuring proper close-out of all projects, including final punch list and close-out documents
  • Managing contractor performance under contracts’ deliverables
  • Coordinating reviews and approvals of design documents and cost estimates
  • Ensuring adherence to internal policies, procedures, safety guidelines, constructions safety procedures and any other applicable requirements


The ideal candidate shall:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, plus five years of related experience
  • Have experience in construction projects as Project Manager related to plant facilities, HVAC, Chillers, piping distribution, cold and hot water systems, gases, electrical distributions
  • Have excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Be knowledgeable on scheduling techniques basics (Gantt chart)
  • Have excellent organizational skills
  • Be able to work under pressure, with different deadlines

International experience and a Master’s Degree will be considered an asset.
