Job description
- Internship will be focused on the characterization of quantum dot films using a range of internal and external characterization technique such as TRPL, PL, ellipsometry, Uv-Vis, TEM, XPS etc.
- Perform accelerated test to correlates materials property and electrical data for device reliability and longevity.
- Intern will manage and execute experiments using in-house characterization and device testing platforms to determine the root-cause failure modes.
- Document experimental data, prepare technical reports, and present results at weekly group meetings
Profile
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related discipline
- Strong hands-on lab skills
- Experience setting up, running, and analyzing hands-on tests and characterization.
- Perform sample prep for material analysis.
- Knowledge of advanced materials characterization techniques such as photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL, TRPL), ellipsometry, Resistivity, Uv-Vis, TEM, XPS, XRD, etc
- Experience with software such as JMP, MATLAB, Python, and/or other common programming languages is preferred
- Detail oriented personality with solid documentation, reporting and presentation skills.
- Must demonstrate flexibility, self-direction, and self-discipline to plan and accomplish objectives and meet deadlines with limited supervision
